NOTE: Depending on whether you want to study for an entire degree or just one or two semesters at FTS, you have to take different steps, e.g. with regard to the required visa, insurance, the required language skills, etc., into account. 1. HOW TO REACH ČAČAK
Arrival to Serbia
By plane
When you arrive in Serbia by plane, you will land at
Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade.
Nikola Tesla Airport is located 18 kilometres away from the centre of Belgrade.
There are frequent bus lines that connect the airport with the city centre as well as Belgrade Central Bus Station.

Also, a taxi can be used as means of transport to the city centre as well as to Belgrade Central Bus Station. The fare costs around 25 euros.

By train
If you travel to Serbia by train, we suggest reaching Belgrade railway station which is located next to the Central Bus Station.

Arrival to Čačak
By car
It is possible to arrive at the city of Čačak using several different routes:
• From Belgrade by A2 Highway Miloš the Great, i.e. via European route E763
• From Belgrade, across Ljig, by State Road and further via European route E 11
• From Belgrade, across Mladenovac and Topola, by State road
• From the Montenegrin border, across Zlatibor, by State road
By bus
Čačak is connected by bus lines with almost every city in the country. The best connection is with Belgrade (departures are every hour). The bus station is located in the city centre.
By taxi
If you wish to take a taxi from Belgrade to Čačak, the contact persons can arrange a taxi ride with some of the taxi associations from Čačak, including a driver waiting for you at the airport with a sign. This service costs around 100 euros (per car).

2. VISA, ENTRY AND RESIDENCE
Citizens of most European countries can enter Serbia without visas for up to 90 days, including many other countries. Before travelling to Serbia, please check whether you need a visa by visiting the website of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.

Registration upon arrival
All foreign citizens have to contact the Office for Foreigners of the Ministry of Interior in Čačak (Police Department) within 24 hours upon arrival and register
their place of residence in Čačak. If a person is accommodated in a student dormitory, hotel or hostel they will be registered and issued so a called
"white card". If a person is accommodated in a private apartment, they need to register the place of residence by themselves. A foreign exchange student is obliged to submit a copy of the White Card to the International Relation Office of the University of Kragujevac and to the relevant faculty immediately upon receiving it.
Note: If a foreign citizen leaves the Republic of Serbia within the 90-day period granted for their stay, without applying for a temporary residence permit, they are obliged to register with the competent body after any subsequent entering the country within 24 hours according to the above-described procedure.
The holders of the White Card may reside in the Republic of Serbia for 90 days. If their exchange period exceeds 90 days, they have to apply for the authorization of a temporary stay. Foreign students are advised to apply for the authorization of temporary stay as early as possible (during the first month of their stay) to prevent possible problems that may occur, such as incomplete documentation required for granting a temporary residence permit, or lack of time to obtain it. Issuance of temporary residence permit - Registration procedure for exchange students
The exchange students should first register at the International Relations Office of the University of Kragujevac in order to receive all important documents and information, as well as the certificate of the University stating that they are exchange students.
For submitting the request for approval of a temporary stay, it is necessary to enclose the following:
• Valid travel document (passport)
• Proof of Accommodation (a certificate from the housing provider/hostel, dormitory, etc/ or personal presence of the flat owner in case of a private accommodation)
• Certificate of the university or school attended by a foreign citizen
• Two photographs (4x3 cm, coloured, enface)
• Filled
form No. 8 3 copies, printed two-sided
• Copy of insurance
• Copy of White Card
• Proof of paid submission fee for stay
The International Relations Office staff will guide the exchange students through this procedure upon their arrival.
3. ACCOMMODATION
Students who are Serbian citizens can use the Dorm within the Student Center if they apply for it once the Call is published (unsually in September or October every year and are granted the accommodation. Other students have to explore other options for accommodation.

Private accommodation
Taking into account very reasonable prices, for many of our students private accommodation might even prove better value. The average price for single room apartment is between 150 and 200 EUR per month (depends on the location and amenities) excluding utilities.
We can give advice and provide assistance but do not offer or provide private accommodation. The international students will have support of the local students in finding private accommodation.

Canteens
Meals are provided to students by the Students’ Centre Čačak, which is located nearby. They are a safe and healthy option for all students regardless of whether they use the dorm or not, offered at reasonable prices (a two-course meal for lunch costs around 2-4 euros).

4. COST OF LIVING
The costs of staying in Serbia depend mainly on the type of accommodation and whether students often eat out or cook at home (which many students do). To be on the safe side, students should expect at least €400 per month for accommodation, living expenses and personal expenses.
5. LANGUAGE SUPPORTS
The support for learning Serbian is provided within the University of Kragujevac but it could be also arranged within other educational institutions in Čačak.

6. HEALTHCARE AND INSURANCE
Foreigners and visitors have the right to get medical help in public health institutions and in private practice.

7. LEISURE ANS SPORTS
Nearby the Campus, there is a big sports complex of the Sports Center MLADOST. The sports center boasts state-of-the-art amenities, including outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, football fields, and track-and field stadium. Students can participate in various sports programs, such as swimming, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and fitness classes. The center also organizes tournaments, leagues, and training sessions, providing opportunities for students to compete and enhance their athletic skills.
Čačak offers a variety of leisure and sports options that cater to the interests and preferences of students. The city provides numerous recreational facilities, including parks, sports complexes, and fitness centers, where students can engage in various activities such as jogging, cycling, basketball, football, and volleyball. Additionally, Čačak boasts beautiful natural surroundings, allowing students to enjoy outdoor pursuits like hiking and nature walks.
The city also hosts cultural events, concerts, and festivals throughout the year, providing opportunities for students to immerse themselves in the local arts and entertainment scene. With its vibrant atmosphere and diverse range of leisure and sports options, Čačak ensures that students can find a balance between their academic pursuits and recreational interests.

8. ADMISSION

9. CAMPUS
Our campus provides a comprehensive and well-equipped environment to support students' academic and extracurricular activities. The main building houses modern classrooms and lecture halls, where students attend lectures and engage in interactive learning. Additionally, the campus features state-of-the-art laboratories equipped with the latest technology and equipment, enabling students to conduct practical experiments and research. The main building is where Student Service Office and the Rectorate are located.
Our library is located in the main building, on the second floor, and it offers a vast collection of academic resources, including books, journals, and online databases, to support students' research and study needs. It serves as a quiet and conducive space for studying and academic pursuits.
The Lab building, which consists of specialized laboratories focusing on different fields of study, is located 50m from the main building. These labs provide students with hands-on experience and practical training in their respective disciplines.
On-campus accommodation is available in the student dorm, providing a convenient and comfortable living option for students. The dormitories offer various amenities, including common areas for socializing, study rooms, and facilities to support students' daily needs. A canteen is also situated on campus.
For transportation convenience, the campus provides parking facilities for students who prefer to commute by car or motorcycle.
