Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak Celebrates 48 Years of Successful Work

On November 17, 2023, the Faculty marked 48 years of its establishment and 63 years of providing higher education with a festive ceremony held in the Grand Amphitheater. The event was attended by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Prof. Ivica Radović, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs at the University of Kragujevac, Prof. Vladimir Ranković, Prof. Asutosh Kar from the National Institute of Technology in India, Mr. Milun Todorović, Mayor of the City of Čačak, deans and vice-deans of faculties, high school directors, industry representatives, top students, and other esteemed guests.
 
 
In her welcoming address, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Danijela Milošević, emphasized that in its 48th academic year and 63rd year of higher education, the Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak proudly maintains its status as one of the largest scientific and educational institutions in central and western Serbia. The institution focuses on acquiring new knowledge, applying modern technologies, and conducting research oriented towards innovation. Prof. Milošević added that the Faculty currently offers 25 accredited study programs at all levels of academic and professional studies, involving experts from the industry who impart current experiential knowledge and skills from their companies to students.
 
 
Guest speakers, including the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs at the University of Kragujevac, Mayor of Čačak, Professor Kar from India, extended congratulations to the host and praised the Faculty’s contribution to education in our country and beyond.
During the 2022/2023 academic year, a total of 421 students graduated from the Faculty across various academic and professional programs. The top ten students not only earned recognition from the Faculty but also received awards from the companies with which the Faculty collaborates and from various foundations. Uroš Milošević, recognized as the student of the year for the academic year 2022/2023 and the top performer in the Information Technology study program, was honored with an award from the “Milivoje Urošević” Fund and the company OKTA SOLUTIONS.
 
 
Rijald Mašović achieved the best results in the study program Electrical and Computer Engineering and received the award from the company “Elektroinženjering.“ The special award “Aleksandar Avramović” this year was also presented to Rijald Mašović. Gavrilo Bošković is the most successful graduate in the Mechatronics study program and was awarded by a representative from the “Lola” Institute. In the Engineering Management program, Anđela Kuč stood out as the most successful student, and she received an award from the “Unipromet” company. Bojana Rakićević achieved the highest distinction in the Entrepreneurial Management study program, earning an award provided by the Scientific Technological Park Čačak.
Excellent results were also achieved by graduates who completed bachelor professional studies in the academic year 2022/2023. The most successful graduate in the Printing Technology study program is Nadica Marković. In addition to the Faculty award, Nadica also received an award from Dr. Radovan Ćirić Foundation. Milica Bajić, the most successful graduate in the Mechanical Engineering and Informatics study program, received awards from both the Faculty and the Draga Cvijović Foundation. Andrija Mijailović achieved the best result in the Information Technology study program and received an award from the company “Docus”. The most successful graduate in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science study program is Srđan Milijančević. He was awarded by the company “Elektroinženjering.” In the study program Production and Ecological Management, the most distinguished result was achieved by Darko Maksimović. The representative of the company “Bin Metal” presented Darko with the award.
 
 
Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Danijela Milošević, presented awards and expressed gratitude to companies, enterprises, and educational institutions that have wholeheartedly contributed to realizing the Faculty’s mission. The awards from the Faculty were conferred upon Microsoft Software LLC Belgrade, AVNET LLC Belgrade, and Brezna LLC Belgrade.
 
Those acknowledged with certificates of appreciation encompass “Unipromet” Čačak, Hydro Power Plant “Elektromorava” Čačak, the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia, the Economic School Čačak, Technical School Užice, Electro-traffic Technical School “Nikola Tesla” Kraljevo, and Electrical Engineering and Construction School “Nikola Tesla” Jagodina.
The Faculty Day also provided an opportunity to express appreciation to employees celebrating milestone anniversaries of 30, 20, and 10 years of service at the Faculty, as well as to recognize members of the staff who completed their professional careers in the past year.
The ceremony was enriched by musical performances from the Choir of the Grammar School Čačak, as well as a student from the “Dr. Vojislav Vučković” Music School.
