Representatives of the Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak, prof. dr Danijela Milošević, dean and prof. dr Vladimir Mladenović visited Beijing Jiatong University (Beijing University of Transport) as a part of the final activities of the bilateral strategic project "Anomaly Detection of Surveillance Video Based on 5G EDGE Computing".
Further joint activities in the work on the mentioned project were agreed upon, and the visit was also used to establish cooperation with other companies, educational institutions and the National Science and Technology Park (Jing'an Park) of the Second Polytechnic University in Shanghai.
Xy Jing, general director of the National University Science and Technology Park, welcomed the visit of the dean of the faculty, prof. dr Danijela Milošević and prof. dr Vladimir Mladenović, and briefly presented the basis and need for the establishment of Jing'an Park.
After visiting the Jing'an campus, Shanghai Design, the design promotion center of the city of Shanghai, was also visited. Zhang Zhan, the president of the Shanghai City Design Promotion Center, and Luo Zhiwei, the director, warmly welcomed the guests from Serbia and presented the purpose of the center for the promotion and construction of the Shanghai "Design City" as well as the development of the creative design industry.
Representatives of The Faculty of Technical Sciences had the opportunity to visit Tsinghua University Beijing, one of the most prestigious universities in the world, which was founded in 1911 and was ranked at exceptionally high position on the Shanghai list of universities.
Prof. dr Danijela Milošević informed her Chinese colleagues about the education system, the development of science and the international cooperation of universities in Serbia. Both sides recognized the advantages of international exchange and expansion of cooperation and expressed their willingness to establish business contacts, joint promotion, continuous innovation and more intensive development of university exchange.
Visits to the companies Baidu, Inchtek and SenseTime allowed the representatives of The Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak to get acquainted with the impressive progress in the field of robotics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as projects of smart cities, traffic management, prototypes of autonomous vehicles and energy efficiency. An in-depth presentation on cybersecurity and intelligent vehicle networking provided significant insight into launching an innovation among technology leaders globally.
The faculty delegation informed the Chinese partners about their research achievements and the University of Kragujevac project in the field of artificial intelligence, cyber security and wireless communications.
Mr. Zeng Jianjun, the founder and CEO of Inchtek, presented the company's development path from its establishment to the present day, basic technologies and innovative products, followed by a visit to the autonomous driving demonstration zone in Beijing. The representatives of The Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak were impressed by the advanced technologies and products for autonomous driving, and they had the opportunity to gain experience and insight into the potential of autonomous vehicles through a test drive.
This visit not only encouraged a deeper understanding between China and Serbia in the scientific and technological fields, but also paved the way for further mutual cooperation. Through a prolific discussion, both parties reached an agreement on potential directions of cooperation and expressed their commitment to strengthening communication and future development plans and innovative practice.
The visit to all the educational institutions and companies provided a clear picture of the future application of robotics and artificial intelligence, thus showing the progress that China is continuously making in this field.
